Some paper aeroplanes are capable of accuracy, or speed, or distance or impressive stunts. Unfortunately, The Condor can't really do any of those things. It is simply a large and relatively slow glider. It was designed for one purpose and one purpose alone: to be cannon fodder.
If you want to use an accurate interceptor plane, likeThe Piranha, to knock other paper aeroplanes out of the sky, you need something to aim at so you can practice. The Condor fulfills this role with distinction. With it's large wings and crawling pace, it is a nice plump bullseye for your target practice.
1. Start with one A4 size piece of paper.
2. Fold the piece of paper in half longways along the red line so you get the diagram on the right.
3. Fold one corner on the top most flap of paper down to the centre line.
4. Repeat the same fold on the other side, so you get something that looks like this:
5. Unfold along the centre line, so you have something that looks like this:
6. Fold along the red line so you get something that looks like the diagram on the right.
7. Fold along the red line, so that one side of the flat bit at the front of the plane meets the centre line.
NOTE: make sure you start this fold on the centre line right at the very front of the plane.
8. Then do the same thing on the other side.
9. Refold along the centre line so you get something that looks like this.
10. Fold along the red line using the dimensions shown. If you don't have a ruler to hand, use approximate dimensions; however, try to make sure the base of the fold you create is parallel to the centre line.
11. Repeat the fold on the other side of the plane, so you have something that looks like this.
12. Refold back along the centre line, so you get something that looks like this:
13. Fold the wing down on the other side of the plane.
14. Fold out the wings into their proper shape and place the plane on its back.
15. Fold a the fins using the dimensions shown.
16. Flip the plane over and you've finished the main construction. HOWEVER, remember that almost all planes need calibrating before they fly properly. Visit the calibrating page now, or you're just going to embarrass yourself.
