Aviation Industry
Aviation industry is sometimes called dream industry, especially the jobs which involve flying. Career in aviation industry fascinates people from decades. Decade before there were less job opportunities as number of aviation and flying companies were less. With the advent of private airlines gates were opened for professionals to join the industry. Terrorism and financial crunch hit the aviation industry badly in last decade. However, there are symptoms that aviation industry is flourishing once again and offering good opportunities for professionals.
Employment Opportunities in Aviation Industry
Basically there are two broader types of opportunities available in aviation, on the ground and in the air. Some jobs are related to airport, control room and managerial matters. Staff of these categories remains on the ground. Some jobs are related to flights and staff has to fly in the air to perform their duties.
On the Ground
On the ground staff includes Operation Manager, Operations Supervisor, Airport Airside Superintendent, Airport Operations Assistant, Airport Communications Dispatcher, Manager Maintenance, Manager Cargo, Airport Information Specialist, Reservation Officer, Customer Services Officer, Aviation Technology Specialist, Computer Operator, Accountant, Passenger Service Officer, Fuel Facility Operator, Ramp Service Staff and several others.
In the Air
Staff flying in the air includes Captain, Pilot, Co-Pilot , Instructor Pilot, Crew Leader, Cabin Manager, Manager Aerial Operations, Flight Attendant, Air Hostess, Steward, Purser.
